Salah selfish and Mane unprofessional

Kefas Bangripga

Salah selfish game has undoubtedly affected Liverpool games adversely. The narrative that his selfishness cost Liverpool last season has a strong impetus if his missed chance against Everton in the 0-0 derby at Gidisson park is anything to go by. Salah chose to go for goal even when Mane was having a clearer chance than him but unfortunately failed to find the back of the net. Had Liverpool won that game and got their 3 points, they would have won the league with 99 points ahead of City who won it with 98 points. The recent selfish display by Salah clearly indicates
that the number 11 is seeking individual glory than team success.Mane’s reaction after being substituted by Jurgen Klopp and leaving Salah on the pitch was unprofessional and can adversely affect the unity of the team. The Senegalese was furious for being substituted after scoring a goal in the 3-0 trashing of Burnley, and had to be calmed by team mate Bobby. This situation has already planted division in the club’s fan base.
How is Jurgen Klopp going to manage this crisis? Because if not handled carefully this could escalate, create a dressing room problem and affect the entire team’s chemistry in their quest to win an unprecedented EPL title.
