Repulsive Indoctrination

Western Civilizations succeeded in building prosperous societies despite their religious diversities because the pillars upon which these societies were built, are deeply rooted in a philosophical foundation that places humanity at the center of morality.
Repulsive Indoctrination is premised on doctrines, principles, ideals and values that justify violence, hate and non-acceptance of unbelievers which is obtainable in all religions.
In Procedural Humanism, rationality is the ability to relate with people freely and treat them equal regardless of their religious inclinations, race or creed. This is one of the fundamental ideals that shapes the thinking pattern every free society.
Comparatively, the reason why religious violence and intolerance are prevalent in Northern Nigeria is because a significant percent of religious adherents there have undergone Repulsive Indoctrination right from childhood.
At a very tender age when children have not fully developed their own critical judgement, they are enrolled into different religious teaching and learning institutions, e.g Sunday school and Islamiyya. These Institutions are the cradles where their social learning process begins and eventually their perception of life is formed at a stage when they are vulnerable and susceptible to non-rational persuasion (Hare, 2007).
The doctrines, principles and the ideologies inculcated in them significantly override the natural fixations of their psychosocial development process. Consequently, they become emotionally attached to the doctrines of their religion and become fanatics with closed-minds to any view outside their religious beliefs and conceptions (Hare, 2007).
At this stage, repulsive Indoctrination has already taken a grip of their reasoning faculty. They become so susceptible to reacting violently to whatever they deem as provocation against their religious beliefs because they are incapable of assessing and assimilating views and opinions of other religions.
This pattern of indoctrination teaches adherents absolute hate and resentment of people from other religious backgrounds. They believe their religion is superior to every other belief system.
At the early stage of repulsive Indoctrination, the affectionate component of the human attitude is reprogrammed to respond exclusively to religious beliefs. For subjects under this pattern of indoctrination, love can only be triggered by religious proclamations. I.e they can only love you and consider you as a brother if you belong to their religion.
In procedural humanism, Reason is the root of morality hence humanity is supposed to be the basis of religion; it supposed to teach mercy, spirituality and love for mankind, but for people imbued with such pattern of indoctrination, religion is placed above humanity.
The enormity of Repulsive indoctrination is such that, its subjects are irrational and resistant to restraining mechanisms such as; love, mercy and any other established laws when their religion is involved.
Threading along this dangerous path will see us breeding a pile of irrational beings with a defective reasoning faulty which will eventually annihilate our society.
