during Friday night’s 4-1 victory over Norwich
City.
The 26-year-old took a goal-kick and went to
ground clutching his leg in the 38th minute,
forcing Jurgen Klopp to replace him with Adrian.
According to the Daily Mail’s Dominic King , the
initial fears are that Alisson could miss the first
Champions League group game in September.
Speaking in his post-match press conference,
Klopp expressed concern at his first-choice
goalkeeper’s injury.
“He thought something hit him on the calf, so
that’s not a very good sign,” Klopp told Sky
Sports. “That’s how it felt, so it’s not a good sign
and sportsmen know what I mean.
“It means it’s probably a bit more than a strain,
and we have to see and make the diagnosis. It
doesn’t look too good.”
